Chelsea 2-0 Blackburn Rovers

Chelsea kept up the pressure on Liverpool in the race for second place with a comfortable win over Blackburn Rovers.

Florent Malouda put the Blues ahead after just four minutes with a stunning 16-yard header from a chip by Nicolas Anelka.

Anelka got the second on 59 minutes with a well-struck low 15-yard shot to bring him level with Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the Golden Boot.

The victory gave a good send-off to manager Guus Hiddink in his last home match in charge of Chelsea whose fans continually sang his name.

Blackburn Rovers, already safe from relegation, barely threatened in a low-key affair. Chelsea are now three points behind Liverpool with one to play.
